☀️ The best sunset hike in Mount RainierFrem ☀️ The best sunset hike in Mount RainierFremont Lookout is 5.6 miles roundtrip from the Sunrise Visitor Center, with non-stop mountain views and a lookout that feels like the top of the world.Permits: Between 7 AM–5 PM in summer, you’ll need a timed-entry vehicle permit to sunrise corridor (get it on Recreation.gov). No permit? Just show up after 5 PM — like we did — and hike for sunset. We waited an hour in the cold for the sun to dip behind inversion clouds… totally worth it. 🌄Bring: warm layers, headlamp, snacks, and water. Save this for your next trip to Rainier.#MountRainier #FremontLookout #PNW #SunsetHike #WashingtonHikes #PNWhiking #BucketListHikes
