Detailed budget for our trip to Churchill in Manit Detailed budget for our trip to Churchill in Manitoba (the polar bear capital of the world) - a full 7-day adventure including the train ride! 😎🐻‍❄️💰(*all prices are in CAD $)🚂 Train – We booked economy class for the 2-day train ride from Winnipeg to Churchill and back (we booked it 7 months in advance). You can also choose a sleeping coach, which is much more expensive. ✈️There’s an airport in Churchill too, so if you prefer a faster and more comfortable (but pricier) option, flying is the way to go.🐻‍❄️ Tour – We booked a one-day Tundra Buggy tour and reserved it 7 months in advance to secure our spot. There is also an option to book a van expedition tour with different tour companies, and the price usually starts at around $400 per person.🚗 Car rental – The price includes both the car and gas. If you’re unsure whether this is right for you due to road conditions or safety, double-check everything with the rental company. You must stay on designated routes, never leave the car, never chase bears, and always keep a safe distance. Go over all safety instructions with the company before you go.🏠 Accommodation – We stayed in a guest house with breakfast included, which was super convenient since groceries in Churchill are quite expensive (book as soon as possible as there is limited accommodation in Churchill).🍝 Food – Churchill has several amazing restaurants (Tundra Pub, Ptarmigan, Lazy Bear Café), but they are also quite pricey. Our accommodation also had a kitchen, so we cooked to save money, and we brought some of our own food on the train. The final amount, of course, depends on where you’re flying from, so we didn’t include flight prices. We flew from Vancouver to Winnipeg, so it wasn’t too bad.❓Would you expect it to be more or less? 😊💰❓#churchill #manitoba #polarbears

Seeing polar bears in the Canadian wilderness was Seeing polar bears in the Canadian wilderness was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us — and we managed to do this whole adventure on a budget! 🐻‍❄️✨👇Here’s our full itinerary:Day 1–2:
We flew to Winnipeg and then took the 2-day train to the polar bear capital, Churchill. We booked economy seats as they’re the most affordable option, but you can choose a sleeper cabin if you prefer more comfort (for a higher price). 🚂Day 3:
After arriving in Churchill, we explored the town and finally had a proper meal after that long ride. For delicious food, we can recommend Lazy Bear Café, Tundra Pub, and Ptarmigan. 🍜Day 4:
We rented a car and went to explore on our own. That day we spotted 8 bears without any tour — still can’t believe it! 🥹🐻‍❄️Day 5:
We joined a Tundra Buggy day tour, which took us to more remote areas. We saw 9 bears in total! 🐻‍❄️Day 6–7:
Another scenic 2-day train ride back from Churchill to Winnipeg. We even saw Nothern Lights during that ride! 🚂🤩Would you do this adventure?🤩🐻‍❄️Wanna know more and see even more cute footage? Stay tuned — we’ll be sharing all the details soon, including our full budget breakdown! 😎#canada #churchill #polarbear #manitoba
