We are both fans of the Top Gear series and Vietnam special is definitelly our favorite one. This one also inspired us and excited for Hai Van Pass ride.
We had two big backpacks and Anet is still not comfortable with motorbike so we agreed to borrow one bike and send our luggages to Hue. These services are offered by some companies in Danang, but unfortunately it was very hard to find some with a smaller bike (max 125 cc) or get respond from them during the Tet holiday.
Hai Van Pass One way bike rental company in Danang
We rented our motorbike at The Motorbike Station which was very expensive (750k, one-way rental until 6 pm with transport of 2 luggages to Hue). We didn’t have much left. In the end, Owner really disappointed us, he clearly told us that we have to be at the hotel at 6 pm latest but nobody pick up the bike and it was still there the next evening. If we know that we could enjoy the bike in the evening and not hurry.
Other companies in Danang that include these services are Motorvina, Tigit Motorcycle Rental or Danang Motorcycle Adventures that offers one-day tour.
And what about the ride itself?! First of all, we refueled a full tank in Danang and headed for the winding roads and the mountain. The views of the route were amazing and we stopped several times because of them. Be sure to watch the video that best summarizes the entire route!
When we left the mountains, we went to the beach restaurant and enjoy seafood delicacies and of course our favorite Vietnamese coffee.
Strengthened again we set off on an adventure. We drove along the sea where we were almost alone and enjoyed the Vietnamese countryside with rice fields, farmers or fishing villages. It was a fantasy 🙂
In conclusion, despite the complications with the bike, this ride was cool experience and we were as impressed as it was in Top Gear!
